A Million Colours

It’s a song about how difficult it is to fully grasp that the people you know will all die some day. Even after someone dies they stay in your life as memories and after effects. A million little things that remind you of them.

Scared to Death

Trying to make intellectual sense of the huge range of positive and negative feelings we have about life and death doesn’t always seem possible. Accepting the flow of experience however, without trying to understand it, does sometimes seem to make it more manageable.

Death is the new sex

The title and chorus are about questioning taboos and the verses are about palliative care workers. The death equivalent of midwives. Kindness allied with modern medical knowledge giving comfort when it matters most. In a culture where these practises are often hidden the result is that their skills seem almost supernatural.
